South Sudanese football giants Jamus SC have taken their transfer business to another level, unveiling two major signings.
The club has announced the signings of Josue Manuma Mungwengi of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundian international Shabani Kagayo, both on two-year contracts.
The double swoop comes just weeks after Jamus SC wrapped up a historic season, clinching the South Sudan Premier League, South Sudan Cup, and South Sudan Super Cup a clean sweep that cemented their place at the summit of South Sudanese football.
Still, despite their domestic dominance, Jamus is showing no signs of satisfaction.
The first to be announced was Josue Mungwengi, a well-established midfielder who previously featured for TP Mazembe, a powerhouse in African football.
His experience in top-level competition across the continent is expected to bring composure, leadership, and tactical awareness to Jamus’ midfield.
Close on the heels of Mungwengi’s arrival, the club unveiled the signing of Shabani Kagayo, a tenacious and creative winger who has earned caps with Burundi’s national team.
Kagayo is known for his versatility, agility, and ability to spark attacks from deep positions traits that will add new dimensions to Jamus’ style of play.
Club insiders described both deals as strategic moves aimed at preparing Jamus for more than just local competition. “We’re not ending here, there are still more to come,” said a club official.
Club officials expressed confidence that the duo will play crucial roles in their campaign, citing their experience and hunger to succeed.
The financial details of both deals remain confidential, but sources close to the negotiations revealed that the contracts include performance-based incentives and potential extension clauses.
Fans of Jamus SC will be eager to see how the new signings integrate into the squad and impact the team’s performance.
