
The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has urged newly appointed officials of key revenue institutions to uphold transparency, integrity, and accountability as they assume their duties in office.
Speaking during a swearing-in ceremony held at the State Government Secretariat in Juba, the governor called on the new leadership of the State Revenue Authority and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority to work diligently to strengthen public financial management and improve revenue generation across the state.
The officials who took the oath include Franco Mogga Wani as the Commissioner General of the State Revenue Authority, deputized by Flora Gabriel Modi.
Emmanuel Juma Diyo was also sworn in as the Commissioner General of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority.
Governor Adil emphasized that the two institutions play a vital role in mobilizing resources needed to support government programs and service delivery.
He tasked the newly appointed leaders with improving revenue collection systems, promoting voluntary tax compliance among citizens and businesses, and ensuring greater accountability in the management of public funds.
“As leaders of these two important institutions, you are expected to demonstrate integrity, competence, accountability, and dedication to public service,” Governor Adil said.
“Your offices require strong leadership that will build credible institutions capable of supporting the development aspirations of Central Equatoria State.”
The governor further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening revenue-generating institutions in order to enhance economic growth and ensure responsible management of public resources.
On behalf of the officials sworn in, Commissioner General Franco Mogga Wani expressed appreciation to the state government for the trust placed in them.
He outlined financial reforms as a key priority and pledged to work closely with the State Ministry of Finance and other relevant institutions to ensure effective implementation of financial policies and regulations for the benefit of the public.
Wani noted that strengthening cooperation among government institutions will be essential in improving efficiency in revenue collection and ensuring that the state’s financial systems are transparent and accountable.
Senior government officials who attended the ceremony also underscored the need for stronger measures to safeguard financial stability and enhance service delivery.
They urged the new leadership to prioritize reforms that will help strengthen institutions and improve public confidence in the management of state resources, particularly as the country prepares for the upcoming December polls.
