CES launches plot showing and road opening in Kapuri Hai Salam

The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has officially launched the long-awaited showing of demarcated areas in Kapuri Hai Sala.

Marking a major step toward organized settlement and infrastructure development after more than 15 years of delay.

The launch event brought together state officials, community leaders, and residents as authorities began opening roads and formally allocating plots within the residential area.

Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Adil congratulated the community of Rombur for their cooperation and for providing land to accommodate returnees who returned from Khartoum after the independence of South Sudan in 2011.

He urged residents of Kapuri Hai Salam to cooperate with engineers and technical teams carrying out the surveying and road-opening exercise to ensure the smooth implementation of the development plan.

The State Minister of Housing, David Morbe Aquilino, said the exercise demonstrates the state government’s commitment to improving land management and service delivery.

According to Morbe, the Ministry of Housing is mandated to organize land allocation, ensure proper planning, and facilitate the delivery of services to communities across the state.

He added that the showing and handover of demarcated plots, together with the provision of basic services, remain among the key priorities of Governor Adil’s administration.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Tete explained that the opening of roads in Kapuri Hai Salam will help accelerate development and allow the establishment of essential public services such as schools, health facilities, and security institutions.

Officials say the initiative is expected to significantly improve settlement planning, infrastructure development, and access to basic services for residents of Kapuri Hai Salam as the government works to transform the area into a well-planned residential community.
