Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has returned to the leadership of Central Equatoria State with unmistakable urgency, unveiling an immediate reshuffle that signals a renewed bid to tighten coordination and strengthen the state’s executive machinery.

Within hours of settling back into his office, Governor Adil issued a series of gubernatorial decrees revoking and reassigning key officials, a move widely viewed as the first step in reorganizing the operational backbone of the State House.

Among the major changes, former Director General of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, James Tatu Guma, has been relieved of his previous role and appointed as the Executive Director in the Governor’s Office a critical position that oversees the Governor’s agenda and day-to-day administration.

Supporting him is Rose Night Charles, who now serves as Deputy Executive Director, and Ayozu Betty Marcello Dada, the newly appointed Office Manager.

In a notable reshuffle, Issac Batali Santino, previously a member of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, has been repositioned as the Private Secretary to the Governor—placing him at the center of executive correspondence and coordination.

The press and communications front also received a boost with the appointment of Derick Derickson as Press Secretary, tasked with managing the Governor’s public messaging, media engagement, and information flow.

Meanwhile, the administrative environment of the Governor’s residence has also been reorganized, with Jackson Amule named Palace Manager and Jennifer Nakai Lokwema stepping in as Deputy Palace Manager.

Political observers say the speed and precision of Adil’s moves reflect a deliberate attempt to stabilize internal structures before embarking on broader governance actions. The reshuffle, they note, echoes his characteristic leadership style swift, targeted, and grounded in prioritizing a loyal and efficient executive circle.

As Central Equatoria State adjusts to this renewed leadership phase, one thing is already clear:
Governor Adil is back, and he is wasting no time.
