Adut Salva begins duties with visit to Central Equatoria governor

South Sudan’s newly appointed Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs, Adut Salva Kiir, has officially commenced her duties with a courtesy visit to Central Equatoria State Governor Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel.

The meeting, held Monday at the Governor’s office in Juba, centered on fostering stronger collaboration between the Office of the Presidential Envoy and the state leadership, the Governor’s office said.

Both sides discussed areas of collaboration aimed at advancing government programs, strengthening coordination, and ensuring services reach citizens more effectively.

Governor Mujung welcomed Adut to his office, congratulating her on her appointment and pledging full cooperation to ensure she succeeds in her new role.

He stressed the need for a united approach between the national government and states to implement priority projects and address the challenges facing South Sudanese communities.

In response, Hon. Adut expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support and reaffirmed her commitment to work closely with Central Equatoria leadership.

She underscored that her office would focus on facilitating programs that improve livelihoods and enhance development across the country.

The Central Equatoria visit marks the beginning of a series of planned consultations with state governments as part of her national assignment.
