
President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday administered the oath of office to Yeni Samuel Costa as the new Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, urging him to act swiftly to resolve the nation’s growing liquidity challenges.
Kiir urged the new Central Bank leadership to focus on restoring price stability, strengthening monetary policy, and ensuring the institution fulfils its mandate of sustaining a healthy domestic economy.
During the same ceremony, President Kiir also swore in the Chairperson and members of the Board of the National Communication Authority.
He called on the NCA leadership to improve the accessibility and reliability of communication services across the country.
Officials expressed optimism that the new teams at both institutions will drive reforms, rebuild public confidence, and enhance service delivery in their respective sectors.
