Dr. Bruno Dada named vice chancellor of Catholic university

Dr. Bruno Dada has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of South Sudan, succeeding Fr. Dr. Mathew Pagan, who served in the position for 12 years.

The appointment was officially announced by His Eminence Stephen Cardinal Ameyu, President of the Sudan and South Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference and Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba.

Rev. Br. Dr. Dada will formally assume his new role starting 1st September 2025. His leadership marks a new chapter for the university, which has played a pivotal role in advancing higher education and Catholic values in South Sudan.

The outgoing Vice Chancellor, Fr. Pagan, has been widely recognized for his years of dedicated service and his significant contributions to the institution’s growth and academic excellence.

Dr. Dada’s appointment is expected to bring renewed momentum to the university’s mission of providing quality, faith-based education in the country.
