Central Equatoria State Caretaker Governor Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani has called on newly appointed caretaker ministers to uphold unity, discipline and teamwork as they take up their responsibilities in the state government.
Governor Jadalla made the remarks on Monday while formally installing the caretaker ministers into their respective offices in Juba.
He directed the ministers to work closely with technocrats in their ministries to ensure effective administration and improved service delivery to the people of Central Equatoria.
Jadalla also called on the ministers to work as one government, stressing the importance of integrity, humility, discipline and commitment in carrying out their duties.
The governor further directed relevant state ministries to prepare to accompany recently appointed caretaker commissioners to their respective counties, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery at the grassroots.
The caretaker ministers pledged their support to the governor and committed to incorporating their plans into the broader policy direction of the state government.
Jadalla also urged the ministers to promote civic awareness and dialogue ahead of South Sudan’s planned December 22 general elections.
He said the state government should remain focused on promoting peace, unity and service delivery as Central Equatoria prepares for the upcoming polls.
