
President Salva Kiir Mayardit has tasked his Presidential Security Advisor, Tut Gatluak Manime, with leading a special delegation to Qatar as part of efforts to enhance political and economic ties between South Sudan and the Gulf state.
The high-level delegation includes officials from the ministries of Finance, Petroleum, Transport and other relevant government bodies, signaling Juba’s interest in broad-based cooperation.
Tut Gatluak told reporters that the delegation is carrying a direct message from the President and will engage Qatari leaders on areas of shared concern, including investment, infrastructure and energy.
The visit comes as the government intensifies diplomatic outreach to attract international partnerships and support national development priorities.
