The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has announced a major administrative change, appointing Adv. Bak Athian Bak Madut as its new Secretary General, replacing Mr. Victor Lawrence Lual, who has been relieved of his duties.
The announcement came during the 4th Ordinary Executive Committee Meeting held on Friday at the Federation’s headquarters in Juba.
The decision followed a proposal by SSFF President Francis Amin Michael, which received unanimous approval from all committee members.
According to the Federation, the new Secretary General’s appointment takes immediate effect. Before assuming his new position, Adv. Bak served as Head of the Legal Department and Chairperson of the Electoral Appeals Committee within the SSFF.
His elevation is seen as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Federation’s administrative structure and enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency within South Sudan’s football governance.
In a statement, President Francis Amin said the leadership change reflects the Federation’s commitment to effective management and institutional reform.
“We are focused on building a professional football administration capable of supporting both the growth of the game and the development of players across the country,” Amin stated.
The outgoing Secretary General, Mr. Victor Lawrence Lual, has served in the Federation’s leadership for several years, contributing to various organizational and developmental initiatives within South Sudanese football.
The newly appointed Secretary General, Adv. Bak, is expected to assume office immediately and begin work on implementing the Federation’s reform agenda as the SSFF continues to align itself with regional and international football standards.
