Yei Joint Stars Football Club has entered into a landmark sponsorship agreement worth nearly SSP 80 million per season, marking one of the most significant commercial partnerships in the club’s history and signaling a new chapter in its competitive ambitions.
The deal brings together three corporate partners, True-Line Africa Limited, Larry Investment Co. Ltd, and Horizon IT Solutions, whose combined annual contributions amount to SSP 79,585,000.
Under the terms of the agreement, True-Line Africa Limited will provide the largest share of the sponsorship at SSP 49,335,000 per season, while Larry Investment Co. Ltd will contribute SSP 19,250,000. Horizon IT Solutions completes the partnership with an annual contribution of SSP 11,000,000.
Club officials say the sponsorship is designed to provide stable and predictable funding, enabling Yei Joint Stars FC to plan more effectively for both domestic competitions and engagements at regional and continental levels.
The funds are expected to support a wide range of activities, including player welfare, training and match logistics, equipment procurement, youth development programs, and overall institutional strengthening of the club.
Speaking on behalf of the club, Secretary Mabe Clement described the agreement as a transformative step that goes beyond short-term financial relief.
He noted that the partnership will help the club raise its competitive standards while building a professional structure capable of sustaining long-term success.
Clement also emphasized that financial accountability and transparency form a core pillar of the agreement, stressing that all sponsorship funds will be managed through the formal banking system to ensure proper tracking and responsible use.
In addition to boosting the club’s operational capacity, the sponsorship offers substantial visibility opportunities for the partner companies.
Their brands will be prominently displayed on team kits, training gear, and promotional materials, while also benefiting from exposure during league fixtures, tournaments, and community outreach activities associated with the club.
Meanwhile, Peter Awongo, the Chief Executive Officer of True-Line Africa Limited, said the company’s decision to partner with Yei Joint Stars FC is part of its corporate social responsibility aimed at giving back to the community while supporting the growth of sports in the region.
Awongo noted that football remains a powerful platform for youth empowerment, talent development, and social cohesion, adding that the sponsorship reflects True-Line Africa Limited’s commitment to investing in young people and creating opportunities beyond the pitch.
He said the company believes that structured support for local clubs can help nurture discipline, teamwork, and leadership among the youth.
“This partnership goes beyond branding,” Awongo said. “It is about empowering young talent, supporting community development, and pushing Yei Joint Stars FC to the next level of competitiveness. We are proud to associate our brand with a club that represents hope, unity, and ambition for the people of Yei and beyond.”
He further expressed confidence that the sponsorship will contribute to improved performance and professionalism within the club, enabling it to compete more effectively at national, regional, and continental levels.
Awongo also reaffirmed True-Line Africa Limited’s commitment to a long-term partnership built on mutual trust, transparency, and shared values, noting that the company looks forward to seeing the club grow and achieve greater success in the coming seasons.
They highlighted football’s role as a unifying force and an effective platform for nurturing young talent, promoting positive social values, and strengthening ties between the private sector and local communities.
