President Kiir urges peace, stability in Eastern Equatoria State

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has directed Governor Louis Lobong Lojore to ensure peace and stability in Eastern Equatoria State.

During a meeting at the State House in Juba, the President emphasized the importance of maintaining security, political harmony, and economic development in the state.

Governor Lobong reported that the state remains peaceful, with ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation among political parties and stakeholders.

He highlighted initiatives aimed at boosting local food production through large-scale farming and improving social services, particularly in health, through a cost-sharing program with local communities.

President Kiir reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting Eastern Equatoria in its pursuit of becoming a peaceful and united state.

The meeting underscored the importance of coordination between national and state governments to advance stability and development across South Sudan.
