South Sudanese music star Cocosan and three others are lucky to be alive after surviving a late-night car crash in Juba that could have ended in tragedy.

The group made up of artists Santiolo Y, Akir Leben, and Amadi FM Station Manager Billy Samson was returning from the emotional funeral of the late singer Chaka Boom when their vehicle was hit from behind near Lou Junction around 10 PM.

“Thank God for saving me, Cocosan, Santiolo, and Akir Leben,” Billy Samson told SZN, still shaken but grateful. “We were just stopped for checking when the car struck us from behind.”

The impact was severe, but by sheer luck or divine intervention, all four walked away without serious injuries. They are now reported to be in stable condition.

News of the accident quickly spread online, with fans and fellow musicians flooding social media with prayers and messages of support.

Cocosan, known for his energetic performances and massive following, has yet to release a statement, but supporters are calling his group’s survival another sign that they are not just a stage fighter, but a life fighter too.

As the music community continues to mourn Chaka Boom, this near-tragedy has reminded many of how fragile life is and how blessed they are to still have their stars among them.
