Kalisto Lado returns to Gudele street to monitor implementation of his orders

The Caretaker Commissioner of Juba County, Moulana Kalisto Lado Faustino has conducted a follow-up visit to Kuburi Haboba Market to assess progress in implementing his earlier directives aimed at reorganizing and modernizing the trading centre.

The visit follows his previous instructions to shop owners and traders to reorganize their business premises in a coordinated and standardized manner, as part of efforts to improve market accessibility, maintain order and reduce the risk of fire outbreaks.

The directive forms part of the commissioner’s broader efforts to address challenges associated with market organization, including poorly arranged business spaces that can obstruct movement and make access difficult for traders, customers and emergency services.

During Saturday’s inspection, Lado assessed the progress made since the earlier intervention and emphasized that proper market organization is essential to creating a cleaner, safer and more accessible commercial environment.

He stressed the importance of cooperation between traders and county authorities, calling on business owners to comply with the established guidelines and sustain the changes introduced under the reorganization exercise.

The follow-up visit also reflects the county administration’s efforts to ensure that previously issued directives are implemented rather than remaining on paper, particularly as Juba County pursues improvements in market management and urban development.

Lado reaffirmed his commitment to extending market organization and modernization initiatives to other commercial centres across the county, with the aim of establishing safer, more orderly and business-friendly trading environments.
