MTN South Sudan launches “Sukuran Junubin” promotion to reward 4million subscribers

MTN South Sudan has unveiled a new customer reward campaign dubbed “Sukuran Junubin”, as part of celebrations marking the company’s milestone of reaching four million active subscribers nationwide.

Speaking at the official launch in Juba, Henry Njoroge, MTN’s Chief Marketing Officer, announced that the telecom giant will invest 400 million South Sudanese Pounds in the promotion, aimed at rewarding thousands of loyal customers across the country.

“We are pleased to be launching the Sukuran Junubin promotion as a way of giving back to our customers who have supported us on this remarkable journey to four million subscribers,” Njoroge said.

According to the company, the promotion will run for eight weeks, from October 20 until the first week of December, with 1,100 customers set to win a share of 400,000 South Sudanese Pounds each week through a nationwide draw.

To qualify, subscribers must recharge at least 1,000 SSP worth of airtime weekly, either via MTN recharge cards or MTN Momo. Customers who use Momo for recharges will receive double entries, boosting their chances of winning.

“Each week, we shall conduct a draw to determine the winners. This is our way of appreciating South Sudanese for their loyalty and trust in MTN,” Njoroge added.

The campaign will be rolled out across all 10 states and three administrative areas, ensuring equal participation opportunities nationwide. Winners will receive their prizes directly through MTN Momo.

Njoroge emphasized that MTN’s rapid growth to four million customers reflects the strong support of South Sudanese consumers and the company’s continued investment in digital inclusion.

“We want to say shukran to every customer across South Sudan. This milestone belongs to you. We will continue improving our services and expanding digital access for all,” he said.

MTN South Sudan noted that Sukuran Junubin is part of a broader customer appreciation initiative, which also includes free data weekends, 25% airtime bonuses on Momo purchases, and special voice bundles that enable calls across all networks in South Sudan.
