South Sudan announces 75 technical training opportunities in Ethiopia

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology has announced 75 technical and vocational education and training (TVET) scholarship opportunities offered by the Government of Ethiopia for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The ministry said applications will be open from September 7 to September 22, 2026, with application forms available exclusively at the ministry’s headquarters through the Directorate of Training and External Relations.

Eligible applicants must be South Sudanese nationals holding a South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education, a technical school certificate or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants are also required to provide a valid passport with at least six months’ validity, an age assessment or birth certificate, authenticated academic certificates, proof of medical fitness and two coloured passport-sized photographs.

The ministry said an entrance examination will be conducted on October 16, 2026, at the University of Juba Main Campus.

Successful students are expected to report to their respective institutes on October 27, with classes scheduled to begin on October 30, 2026.

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of SSP 25,000 and an examination fee of USD 50.

The ministry has urged interested and qualified South Sudanese applicants to obtain the forms and complete the application process within the stipulated deadline.
