New sports betting company SpinkBet has entered the South Sudanese market, announcing plans to expand its operations while supporting sports, entertainment and employment opportunities in the country.
The company made the announcement in Juba, where its founders, Nadyn Wasife and Mamdouh Aboukhater, introduced SpinkBet as a new platform targeting South Sudan’s growing young population.
Wasife said the company’s plans go beyond sports betting, with SpinkBet intending to work with local artists, sponsor events and introduce new forms of entertainment around its platform.
“Our main target here is not only to bet. It’s also integrating with artists, collaborating with events and we will be everywhere, literally everywhere,” Wasife said.

She said the company sees South Sudanese as a fast-adapting population and wants SpinkBet to become part of the country’s emerging generation and growth.
Aboukhater said SpinkBet would offer both online betting and physical shops, with features including self-service facilities that he described as relatively new in the local market.
The company currently has five locations in Juba, with shops in Highland, Gudele, Konyo Konyo and Munuki, while saying it plans to expand to other parts of South Sudan.
SpinkBet also said it intends to employ South Sudanese and create opportunities through its network of agents and operations.
“We are getting a lot of agents. Everyone will be South Sudanese. This is our target,” Aboukhater said.
The company did not disclose an exact date for its official online launch, saying only that it would go live the following week and that further details would be announced through its website and social media platforms.
South Sudanese singer John Frog has been appointed as SpinkBet’s brand ambassador as part of the company’s entry into the market.

John Frog said he was excited to join the company and pledged to use his influence to promote the brand.
“I would love to thank SpinkBet for choosing me as a brand ambassador for this amazing company,” he said.
The singer said the agreement was his first brand ambassador deal with a sports betting company, adding that he intended to help take the platform “to the top.”
SpinkBet described John Frog as one of South Sudan’s most influential artists and said the partnership would include events, sponsorships and collaborations.
The company said its agreement with the singer is intended as a long-term partnership, although financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The launch comes as sports betting and digital entertainment platforms continue to attract interest among young people in South Sudan, with SpinkBet positioning itself as a new entrant seeking to combine betting with entertainment and local partnerships.
