The High Court in Juba-Kator has issued an interim restraining order halting the demarcation of the disputed Nyamini Land pending the court’s determination of the case.
The order was issued on September 4, 2026, by Judge Ayiei Nyang Ayiei in Civil Suit No. JOSS/CES/J/K/CIV. S No. 55/2026, involving Olimpio Lokudu Pitia and others as plaintiffs against Sultan Emmanuel Juma Khalifa and Sultan Roman Lodu Denis as defendants.
According to the final order, the court restrained the demarcation of an area identified as Nyamini Land, measuring approximately 8 kilometres by 8 kilometres, until the court decides the matter concerning the disputed land.
The court order was issued under the signature and seal of the High Court-Kator Branch on September 4.
The ruling effectively puts any demarcation activities in the specified area on hold while the court considers the land dispute.
The order does not make a final determination on ownership of the disputed land, with the court’s decision on the substantive dispute still pending.
