TECNO Mobile has officially launched its latest CAMON 50 Series in Juba during a colorful event held at Gelila Hotel, introducing advanced photography, artificial intelligence, and security features to the South Sudanese market.
The launch attracted smartphone enthusiasts, business partners, content creators, and technology lovers eager to witness the unveiling of TECNO’s newest flagship device.
TECNO described the CAMON 50 Series as more than just a smartphone, calling it a “productivity powerhouse” designed to deliver premium photography, powerful performance, and intelligent user experience.
One of the standout features of the new device is its underwater photography capability. The phone comes with IP68/IP69K water resistance and a dedicated “Aqua Mode,” allowing users to capture photos and videos underwater at depths of up to two meters.
The company says the feature is designed for users who want to record moments in challenging environments without worrying about water damage.
For photography lovers, the CAMON 50 Series packs a powerful 50MP Sony LYT-700C main camera alongside a 50MP 3X optical telephoto lens equipped with AI-powered 60x Super Zoom and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
TECNO says the upgraded zoom technology helps users capture distant moments with greater clarity and reduced blur, making it suitable for sports, concerts, wildlife photography, and everyday long-range shots.
The smartphone also introduces several AI-powered creative tools through the TECNO AI Studio platform.
Among the features are Image-to-Video technology, AI Light Master 2.0 for removing unwanted objects and shadows from images, and an upgraded Ella AI Assistant that can also function as an English tutor.
TECNO says the new AI features are designed to improve creativity, productivity, and user convenience.
On security and storage, the company highlighted TECNO Cloud services, which provide encrypted backup for photos, videos, and personal data.
Users will also receive up to 256GB of free cloud storage for three years, offering additional protection for important files and memories.
In terms of performance, the CAMON 50 Series is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate processor built on a 6nm architecture, promising faster speeds, smoother gaming, and improved multitasking performance.
The device also features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, designed to provide smoother scrolling, vibrant visuals, and enhanced viewing experiences.
Battery performance was another major highlight during the launch. The smartphone carries a massive 6150mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging technology for extended daily use.
For durability, the CAMON 50 Series combines its high-level water resistance with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, offering users extra confidence against drops and harsh conditions.
TECNO announced that the new smartphone is now available in Moonlight Black and Nebula Titanium color options.
