I warmly congratulate H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, Governor of Central Equatoria State, and the peace-loving people of Central Equatoria State for their continued commitment to peace, stability, and development.
As South Sudan looks toward a brighter future, I respectfully propose the incorporation of the Institute of Cooperative Studies into Yei University as part of a broader strategy to transform the university into a world-class institution of higher learning.
Yei University should be strengthened through the establishment and expansion of modern faculties that respond to the rapidly changing demands of the 21st century.
These should include faculties and programs in Agriculture and Agribusiness, Cooperative Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Education, Environmental Studies, Business and Entrepreneurship, Public Administration, Peace and Conflict Studies, Climate Change, and Innovation.
This transformation would position Yei University as a national hub of quality education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, producing highly skilled graduates capable of driving economic growth, good governance, food security, industrialization, and sustainable national development.
A stronger Yei University will not only serve Central Equatoria State but also become a center of academic excellence for South Sudan, East Africa, and beyond, producing a new generation of competent and globally competitive human resources.
Congratulations once again to H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, H.E. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, and the peace-loving people of Central Equatoria State. Together, let us invest in education as the foundation for lasting peace, prosperity, and national transformation.
