Juba County has suspended all illegal, unregistered and unauthorized Boda Boda associations operating within the county, citing public order and security concerns.
The order, issued by Juba County Commissioner Samuel Emiliano Wani Pitia, directs the affected associations, including their offices and branches, to cease operations immediately.
The suspended groups have also been barred from collecting fees, registering members or issuing identification cards and permits in the name of their associations.
Authorities say security and law-enforcement agencies will enforce the order, while associations seeking to operate legally must submit their registration documents for verification and authorization.
Boda Boda riders and association leaders have been urged to remain calm, peaceful and law-abiding during the verification and regulation process.
The directive, issued under Local Order No. 07/2026, took immediate effect on 1 September.
