Juba County caretaker commissioner Moulana Kalisto Lado Faustino Nyigilo Wani has launched a lighting project at Freedom Bridge aimed at improving nighttime security and visibility for motorists and pedestrians.
The project is being implemented by Light House General Trading and Investment Co. Ltd in collaboration with Juba County authorities.
Speaking during the launch on Thursday, Wani said the installation of lights would improve safety for road users and strengthen security monitoring around the bridge.
“We are not sleeping; we are always on the ground implementing the plans we make in the office. We are not here simply to sit in our offices,” he said.
The commissioner thanked Juba County security agencies and the administration of Rajaf Payam for their cooperation and support.
He also said his administration was committed to implementing President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s development vision in line with directives from Central Equatoria State caretaker governor Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani.
The lighting project is part of the county administration’s efforts to improve public safety and infrastructure.
Details on the project’s cost and completion timeline were not provided in the announcement.
