Jamus Sports Club of Juba has introduced a monthly recognition programme, rewarding outstanding contributions within the club with high-value prizes in what is described as a first-of-its-kind initiative in South Sudanese football.
The club named Paul America Jawa its Player of the Month, presenting him with an iPhone 18 Pro Max in recognition of his performance and contribution to the team.
Head coach Saber Ben Jabria was also honoured with an iPhone 18 Pro Max for his coaching efforts and leadership, while the club’s Financial Secretary, Mursal Rubin, received a brand-new Bajaj motorcycle in recognition of his contribution to the club’s administration.
The awards ceremony was attended by senior football administrators, led by South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) President Amin Francis, alongside other officials from the country’s football fraternity.
Jamus SC management pledged to sustain the initiative, promising to continue rewarding individuals voted as the club’s best performers every month.
The programme is aimed at motivating players, appreciating technical staff and recognising the contributions of individuals working behind the scenes to support the club.
The move represents an ambitious approach to rewarding excellence in South Sudanese football, as Jamus SC seeks to establish a culture of appreciation, motivation and competitiveness beyond the football pitch.
The initiative could also encourage other football clubs in the country to introduce similar recognition programmes for players, coaches and administrators
