Central Equatoria gets first election registration supplies

The Central Equatoria State High Elections Committee has received its first batch of voter registration materials from the National Elections Commission (NEC) as preparations for the 2026 general elections continue.

The consignment includes voter registration forms, lamination materials and reflective jackets intended to support the upcoming registration exercise.

NEC Chairperson Gabriel Bol Deng and his delegation handed over the materials to Hon. Alfayo Phillip Lako, Chairperson of the Central Equatoria State High Elections Committee, alongside other committee members.

Representatives of civil society organisations, traditional chiefs and youth groups witnessed the handover as observers.

The delivery marks a step in the preparations for voter registration in Central Equatoria ahead of the December 2026 general elections.
